A Taste of Honey: The Queer Past from the SPQP Collections and Archives | Lukáš Houdek

Get to know our past in new photos. Documentary and photographer Lukáš Houdek is the author of images depicting young queer people and allies, who present selected objects and documents from the collections of the Society for Queer Memory (SPQP in Czech). The opening of the exhibition will be presented by Ladislav Jackson from SPQP.

With the creation of its collections, archive and museum, the Society for Queer Memory opposes the forced forgetting of the lives of people who were forced to live in hidden communities, excluded from family traditions and rituals of remembrance. The results of her work contribute to making life easier for new generations of queer people – so that they don't have to enter life with a devastating image of loneliness and exclusion.
