Radka Janů Kaucká

Born in Šumperk on June 21. 1984.

She graduated from the Faculty of Education in Hradec Králové, art and physical education.

Radka is a part of the art group Rukavica, which is now in dormant mode.

In the past, she worked as a dancer in Honza Pokusil Dance Theater, with whom she still collaborates and participates in the creation of the scene, props and also contributes art artifacts.

She works as a contemporary dance teacher, in which she examines the natural relationships and processes between individual segments of the body in motion and at rest, the relationship of the body with internal and external space and also in interaction with other people.

In her work, she recycles everyday experiences. Using lines and words, she records what life brings, prints it on a clipboard and bottles it as a message for those who like to look for other points of view.

The subject is almost always man and his transformations and the processes he goes through. In painting, she lets herself to be carried away by the very process of creation. Sometimes she paints with the lightness of two colors, at other times she layers, repaints, showers... everything is united by a single intention:

"The painting wants to be a living trace of a person.

There is nothing else in it – only the desire to decorate the human happenings."
