Bohdan Heblík (1978) is pursuing a career as a graphic designer in the field of film posters. His unique visual essay problematizes the morphology of Czech film poster production between 1993 and 2021, reducing the most rigid elements of posters, faces and film titles, to basic geometric shapes. Thus, we can see compositions that can be viewed as graphic matrices - the wire model - the behind-the-scenes poster - the proto-language of the Czech film poster; and speculate on whether the medium of the film poster is, by chance, already dead.
